Syllabus Support
Auralia can now be configured to support multiple syllabi. A separate level structure can be created in each topic for any particular syllabus. Auralia 3.0 comes with its own syllabus, as well as the older level structure for Auralia 2.1. Extra syllabi can easily be added to the system using our Syllabus Editor.

Level Customisation
All topics now support custom levels, and custom levels can be saved and reused using the Syllabus feature.

Topic Enhancements
All existing topics have been enhaced to support level customisation. For example, in the rhythm topics, it is now possible to choose individual note values for each of the time signatures that you wish to practise.

Interface
Auralia’s interface has been given a makeover, keeping the basic workflow, but with more contemporary look and feel.

Notation
All musical notation has been revised and enhanced, with emphasis on beaming and spacing. Auralia now uses Sibelius fonts for all notation, and in topics such as Melodic Dictation, note selection is done using a keypad similar to that used in Sibelius.

On Screen Guitar & Keyboard
It is now possible to use an on screen guitar fretboard to enter your answer in certain topics. The existing on screen keyboard has also been enhanced.

Pitch Recognition
The microphone input in Auralia has been improved, using new algorithms that are more accurate and responsive.

Record Keeping
It is now possible to import lists of students, and in a single user environment, automatic logon of a specified user is available.

Database
Auralia now uses a client/server database. This delivers excellent stability and performance, even on larger networks.

Tests
Tests can now be used by multiple classes.

Reports
All reports have been revised and report parameter selection is now far more intuitive.

Scale Editor
Auralia now features a scale editor, allowing you to enter your own scales, and have them appear in your drills.

Chord Editor
The chord editor now supports chord voicings.

"Well designed, discrete programs such as these can only enhance and reinforce children's musical skills and help prepare them for the joy of playing with other young musicians"

Times Educational Supplement

Auralia's interactive tuition makes ear training easy and fun. It guides students through hundreds of graded exercises, and gives instant feedback. You can even play or sing answers using a MIDI keyboard or microphone. Auralia automatically marks the exercises so students can use it on their own, freeing up hours of teaching time. It even records student results so you can monitor their progress over time.

Auralia is perfect for schools, colleges, universities and anyone learning or teaching an instrument.

"The Sibelius suite of educational software has revolutionised my music teaching. In particular Auralia has made ear training much more accessible for students and has enabled me to set out-of-class activities that I was previously unable to do.

I use Auralia with whole classes via an interactive whiteboard and set groups of pupils individual tasks. Individual pupils can keep detailed personalised records of their progress. In my school Auralia transformed ear training from being a time consuming activity with whole classes to a much more individualised learning experience that is made accessible and enjoyable."
