Description

Avid Liquid Chrome Xe.

The ease of Avid Liquid with support for SD/HD digital I/O.

Avid Liquid Chrome Xe combines powerful video editing software with support for the AJA XENA LHe hardware (not included) to provide editors and videographers with all the connectivity they need: SD, HD, analog, and digital. Avid Liquid software provides video editing, DVD authoring, surround sound audio, and amazing visual effects. The AJA XENA LHe board adds analog and digital SD and HD video I/O as well as analog and digital audio I/O, with the ability to capture in uncompressed SD and HD.

Editing. Audio. DVD. Effects. One application

Avid Liquid Chrome Xe combines powerful video editing with integrated DVD authoring from the timeline; Digital Dolby 5.1 surround-sound audio processing; and a wide range of powerful visual effects. Editors only have to learn a single interface to create high-quality video productions with sophisticated effects and audio—and quickly output to tape, disc, or streaming media.

I/O flexibility

Choose the video and audio connection that suits your footage and equipment. It starts with IEEE-1394 from the host CPU. The AJA XENA LHe boards adds analog SD (composite, component, or S-video), analog component for HD; SDI digital for SD and HD; as well as balanced analog and AES digital audio. Avid Liquid Chrome Xe has support for uncompressed video capture in SD and HD for the highest quality footage.

Complete HD workflow

Avid Liquid Chrome Xe supports native capture and frame-accurate editing of 720p and 1080i HDV content, with real-time playback of multiple streams and native output back to HDV tape and video monitoring in full-screen on the VGA monitor. With the AJA XENA LHe hardware, Avid Liquid Chrome Xe also offers support for uncompressed HD, real-time HD monitoring on an external HD monitor as well as high-quality down-conversion for SD output, and playback to tape via analog and digital HD I/O.

Format flexibility

Avid Liquid Chrome Xe supports the Avid Open Timeline: mix content from a variety of sources without having to transcode between formats. Videographers can edit DV, MPEG I-frame, MPEG IBP, HDV and DVCPRO-HD, Windows Media, DIVX, and MPEG-4, as well as uncompressed SD and HD, in the same timeline. With such a broad palette of native codecs, editors can spend more time creatively editing instead of re-rendering from format to format.

Smooth DVD production

Even during the editing process, editors can use a full-featured, integrated DVD authoring toolset right in the timeline to define the interactivity; create and customize menus and navigation; preview and modify the DVD from the timeline; add a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround mix; and then intelligently render out to a finished DVD. Using Avid Liquid Chrome Xe, editors can capture footage directly to a DVD-compliant MPEG IBP codec, saving time by avoiding the transcoding process.
